Dear members, since about one week we encounter some issues with some Hotmail accounts. All messages and notifications sent to these e-mail addresses are blocked by Hotmail. Probably their system misinterprets those messages as spam.

If you signed up on BeWelcome using a Hotmail account, please check your spam folder from time to time and tell Hotmail our messages are no spam. We recommend all members to regularly check your spam-folder to see if all our messages find their ways to your inbox.

At the first weekend of April about 30 BeWelcome members met in Lyon / France for an event called „Seek the Pig“. It was a real international even and it was good to see that BeWelcome is a real community of travellers: most participants came from all corners of France, but there have been Germans, Finnish, Italian, Spanish and a Turkish participant as well.

We reached the goal of this year's donation campaign within three months only at the end of February! This is absolutely fabulous and we would like to thank all those kind donors!

Have you ever noticed the “Contact Us” link on the footer of every BeWelcome page? There is a small team in behind this whose members answer to the questions and requests submitted by our users: the Support Team.

When members have questions, want to make suggestions, report bugs, complain or give feedback, they “Contact Us”. More often the support team helps in cases of forgotten passwords, when members have difficulties using the map search or want to change their username. The Support Team is…

The Board of Directors would like to invite you to join our next public meeting.

We do not consider ourselves a "leadership team". Legally the Board of Directors is the administrative "council" that runs BeWelcome on a day to day basis as well as the "steering committee" which takes all the decisions that don't have to be decided by the General Assembly. Our little team of five tries to meet online once every month. Our next online public meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 14th at 14.00…

As of March 1st, 2016, BeWelcome will have slightly altered Terms of Use (ToU). We would like to inform every BeWelcome member about those changes, hence the community news.
