New BoD Chairman and the Future of BeWelcome

At the beginning of 2010, Florian (Kiwiflave) has resigned his position as Board of Directors chairman and the role was assumed by Thomas (tgoorden) - formerly vice-chairman. The change was brought about by Florian's personal reasons as well as his disappointment with BeWelcome inactivity. In Thomas' words:

"making BeWelcome work sometimes seems like an impossible task with very little in return"

To improve the situation and to gauge members' interest in the project Thomas wrote an appeal to the community and the response was overwhelming. Many of you expressed your support for BeWelcome as well as concerns regarding the functioning of the site. Read more here.
