Wiki Migration

At the General Assembly roughly a year ago we set ourselves challenging goals to make it easier for members and volunteers to enjoy BeWelcome to its best. Integrating the many platforms into one has been a priority and thanks to the wiki task force you can now browse the wiki from within BeWelcome! We also inactivated the formerly used BeVolunteer forum and blog. If you have any further suggestion of how we can make it easier for you to enjoy BeWelcome, let us know!

Which bank to use?

At the moment BeVolunteer is using the Crédit Coopératif bank in France. The bank was chosen because of its non-profit character and its community commitment. Nevertheless, high charges and the fact that the bank does not operate internationally means that we are currently looking for a bank which is

• affordable
• international (branches in different countries)
• willing to open an account for a non-profit organisation
• socially responsible (does not invest in e.g. weapon trade and such)
• has online banking facilities
