It's November and another busy traveling period is behind us. Time to sit down, note the memories of our travels and make plans for the next year. For BeWelcome the past few months meant new features (see:below), new plans for the future and over 2.000 new members.

Groups

You might have noticed that a new feature was added to the BeWelcome site: the groups! This new tool developed by our brave dev-team was created to support community activity among members. You can now create new groups, invite others, discuss, and write local wiki pages. In short, groups let you share your passion, be it for traveling or for collecting stamps!

Shop

You like to bring your hosts a little present or wouldn't mind some original souvenir yourself? In the new BeWelcome shop there are a lot of cool items with the BW logo for you to choose from. And the best: With every product you buy, a part of your money goes to support the project. Have a look.

The general assembly of the mother-association of BeWelcome took place on the 11th and 12th of July in Grimbergen, Belgium. It was a pretty intense moment of discussing procedures, features and other fascinating activities. During coffee breaks and meals, it also involved much small talk about traveling and travelers. A new board of directors was elected for the association. You can find a detailed report here.

Last Minute - Hospex New Year's Eve Party in Budapest

Adpads is telling us that the preparations for this year's hospitality networks New Years Party in Budapest are moving full speed. So far on the schedule are: dinner in the famous landmark market hall, a new year's party in a 2-floor nightclub inside the actual medieval citadel on top of Gellert hill, ice skating trips, walking tours, an expedition to lake Balaton.
