About me

Grew up in a Sikh culture where it was repeatedly drilled into me as a child that an honorable death was anyday better to a dishonorable existence.
I think that message did leave an imprint.

My teens were filled with mischief. And in the time that was left from playing pranks, I was reading books. Lots of them. Mostly on mathematics, psychology, religion, ancient myths and existentialist philosophy.
Could foolishly yet convincingly argue Nietzsche, Freud and Buddha even before I lost my virginity.

Split my twenties between first pursuing research in artificial intelligence at some fine labs, and then hitchhiking hundreds of thousands of kilometers across the world in an ever more hardcore way. I guess I was trying to push the boundaries of human body and mind. Perhaps life.
You can watch this short TED talk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luvIM-hbf3M if this tickles your curiosity.

As I entered my thirties I could observe the urge to play the characters and its need for innumerable experimentations flittering away and an originality and authoritativeness settling in.
Guess this decade shall be the one of my journey as an auteur. Let's see..

Keeping abreast with the latest breakthroughs in the understanding of human consciousness and 'self' from every possible approach. Be it metaphysical, philosophical, neuroscientific, or the evolving mishmash of my own.

Dropping 'relevant' trivia from the personal lives of eastern masters, German philosophers, beat-generation poets and Russian authors in the midst of a conversation.

Being a friend.
