About me

Together with my girlfriend Ania I live in the center of the best Warsaw district - Stara Praga. If you want to become a part of our local CS/BW community during your stay in Warsaw, my couch is just the right place for you! If the weather is fine we can take our guests for a BBQ at the river or for a bicycle trip around the city.

What more to write about me? In fact references you can find on my CS profile (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/luste) are the best description of me as a host and guest. Feedback from people who met me before, should tell you, what to expect while being my guest or host.

Every request I receive, I discuss with Ania (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/4449231/profile), who will be your host with me. If you want us to accept your request fast, please write also to her, so that she knows who you are.

To know before you send a Couch Request:

I live practically in the center of Warsaw (Stara Praga district). Only 2 tram stops to get to the Old Town.

Best time to stay with me are weekends, when I can show you our city and it's nightlife. You may request for weekdays as well, but we I more likely to be busy then.

I'm not a long-term planner. So if you want to request for a couch, do it NOT earlier than 2 weeks before your trip to Warsaw. In fact I prefer last minute requests. If you request 1-3 days before your arrival, it's the best for me.

I don't mind copy-pasted requests. You don't need to explain, why you've chosen me as hosts, unless you want to.

You don't need to read my profile thoroughly. I know, that in travel there is sometimes not enough time to do it. There are no "magic keywords" you should include in your couch request - I will answer every request I receive. But if you really need to show me, that you've read my profile, you can add "May the force be with you" at the end of your request :)

Your profile is your ID on this site and it tells me whether we have something in common and if it would be interesting to meet you. I accept a request (no matter personalized or copy-pasted) only if I like surfer's profile. I don't like empty ones, so please fill in your profile before sending a request.

The above remark concerns also your friends. When you visit Warsaw in a group, each of you should have own personal BW profile. If your friends want to benefit from BW community, but don't have a profile yet, ask them to sign up. BW is a community of MUTUAL hospitality. Your friends won't be able to host anybody in the future, if they don't have a BW profile. Besides it's a safety measure - it's good to have all guests names and their pictures in case you are lost or any other accident occurs.

I need to know your full name. Your nick name is not enough. So if you want to protect your privacy in Internet, my couch is not a good place for your.

I accept emergency last minute requests. If you just arrived to Warsaw, still without a host and you are afraid, that I don't reply your request promptly enough, you can text me. My number is +48 511 195 329. Just send me your BW user name and write where you are at the moment. I will check your profile on my mobile. If I have time and I like your profile, I will host you.

To know during your visit:
If you are new and inexperienced Couch Surfer without valuable references from other hosts, the first time we meet I will ask you to show me your passport or ID, to confirm your identity.

I do not give out keys but this doesn't mean you have to leave the apartment in the early morning. I work flexible hours, so you can sleep longer.

There is a wifi connection in the apartment. But if you don't bring your laptop/smartphone with you, I don't mind you using our computer for a quick check of your emails.

My apartment is a smoking-free area. It's a ground floor - you can easily get out and smoke outside.

I live just next door to a hypermarket. So I'm shopping on a daily basis and my fridge is usually empty. What's more, I host quite a lot of people and can't afford to feed all of them. So if we eat together, I will ask you to share proportionately expenditures for breakfasts and dinners.
