About me

A slow traveler and opportunity seeker constantly on the lookout for good excuses to live in new places. This gives me the time to immerse myself in the new culture and environment, get to know the people, learn the language (though I am terrible at languages), explore the region slowly and give back to the community where possible. This has recently taken me through studies in Scandinavia and Laos for work.

Spoken languages

  • English Mother Tongue
  • Chinese (Simplified) Intermediate

My interests

I am quite a greenie and try to reduce the environmental impact of whatever I do - from saving energy in the house, to eating vegetarian (and organic) when possible and traveling overland by bus / train / ferry / hitchhiking / cycling whenever practical. That said, I do most things in moderation, so so don't take it the wrong way if I take the odd flight to save a long overland journey, or eat meat when it is served by a host (or leftovers - food waste is a sin too)!
