What are the Greece native thinking about the current Greece Crisis ?

I am asking this because during the French riots in 2005 (remember the burning cars on TV), I was very surprised by the questions I was asked by many foreigners about a "civil war" in France.

I would like to see if the BW members are able to understand what is really happening in Greece.

I was acutally trying to get some infoamrtion about the student protests in Greece from our members but it wasn t very fruit full.

We are showing  several movies at our university about student protests and I was looking for a video documentation about the protest in Greece in the last years.

If anybody has something with english or german subtitles please drop me aline.

And, yes I would like to know what is going on down there as well. I m trying to find information on the differen Indymedia sites which keeps mekind of up to date.

Hey guys, i know this was posted long ago, but I just saw it. I like seeing people with a healthy interested in the "other" side of the story. Analyzing the whole thing would take hours (and more than a few glasses of retsina) but the point I want to make is that Greeks are extremely frustrated and disappointed (many even desperate) because they see no way out of the crisis. The general impression is that the measures imposed on the country only deepen the depression. So we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. That's the reason for the great outcry and resistance, even from parts of society and the political spectrum which don't usually react this way.

I know, my analysis is far form comoprehensive, but I thought I'd give you a taste of the general sentiment here. Greetings from Greece!
