The Czech Republic consists of 14 regions, one of which is the country's capital, Prague. Each of them is formed around the region's capital (with the exception of Central Bohemia, whose capital is Prague). These are divided among three historical countries: Bohemia (the largest, the southern, northern and western portion of the country), Moravia (the most authentic, south-eastern portion) and Silesia (the industrial, north-eastern portion).

Prague is Czech Republic's largest city. It's population is about 1,3 million and is still rising. Prague is a beautiful historic city, generally very friendly to visitors. Offers the best service for tourists and many sights - though any visitors need to beware of the omnipresent tourist traps. Best sights: Prague Castle, Lesser Town (Mala Strana), Old Town (especially Jewish Town, Josefov and the Old Town Square), Charles Bridge, Petrin hill and Vysehrad castle.
