MEETING-PLACE and -TIME before the March against MONSANTO, 25.05., 13:30 hrs / 1:30 PM by JanaBerlin

Thanks for the information about the other meeting place, boinsch.

I did not see it, because I'm not very familiar with BW yet.
I posted my meeting time and place to a lot of social networks.
So as yours and my time and place are not at all far away from each other,
we can put BOTH groups together after meeting at the mentioned 2 places.
... shortly before the march is starting

We can communicate, can't we???

;-)

Hymne à la Suède / Anthem for Sweden by Usernomore

@bech

I think the meaning is beautiful, but poetry looses it's essence if translated otherwise you've to re-construct the whole poem in English again. Anyways, you changed my outlook on Sweden, I thought it was all about electrical engg.

Sleepless nights by Brighteyes

I couldn't sleep...

One summer I packed my purple backpack and flew to America to meet many members of womenwelcomewomen in many States for a month. I had terrific times and warm welcomes until I arrived in Vermont. It was summer and is a lovely state and I had been there twice in the winter to ski, at Killington, and it had been mega cold with a severe wind chill factor. But now it was sunny and warm and I had no fears of being cold. Kitty met me and we talked about lots of things, and she had two huge long haired dogs. When it was bed time she opened a settee bed. This would be fine and I owned three of these at my house. I expect to sleep as I take barbiturates every night and my hearing aids are out so my world is very quiet.
So good night everyone. And into bed.. But oh dear, I am in the dog bed and it really smells of dogs and I was cold. How miserable. Lying awake on a lovely trip feeling cold and unhappy.
I had fitful snoozes and strangely in the morning I didn't smell the dogs. The second and last night I wore many clothes because if I was warm I could sleep.
Dog owners are blissfully unaware of the dog smells that their pets create. I never again want to sleep in a dog bed.

On another trip to Ireland to a zany couple with 4 dogs and a cat, I said that I couldn't sleep in a dog bed and they had meant me to share the bottom bunk with a huge German Shepherd dog.
I cleared the top bunk and just slept with the cat. Sean played a flute and the dogs danced. I have never seen such. We are all members of www.couchsurfing.org and enjoy meeting native people when we travel.

An uncomfortable night was spent on a train going from Bucharest to Siret to work with the orphans. I took a big team the second time I went. About 17 caring people over two weeks. The compartment got dark because there were no bulbs! I have a torch and a Swiss Army knife as all good travellers do. There were 8 of us with not much choice in the space available but to sit up. And then the mouse appeared in the darkness and scampered around all night amid many shrieks.

Other times we booked sleepers which were very comfortable.

In fact you will have more chance on a specialized website as Appartager, Leboncoin or Vivastreet

South East Asia 2013 -14 by Jim_Levesque

I'm planning to go back to Thailand in Dec. - End of March '14. May also go to Malaysia and Indonesia, but a lot depends on who I meet or who wants to travel with me during this time. This would be my 7th trip to Asia - so I don't need to "see everything" and move every 2 or 3 days... I just want to relax a bit. Let me know if you're into this... I just can't stand the cold weathers here in Montreal :)
I did make a similar post last yr. and although it got a lot of views, not much came of it. :(

Stopping the Downward Spiral - A Plan for CS by excinit

Wrote this originally for BnA - this version is more refined for the CS/BW audience (and has some concrete ideas). Some come straight from BW, while others from places like Wikileaks, Sierra Club, and other non-profits I've worked for.
Do give me feedback, comments, and this definitely reflects on BW too - what ideas can we integrate here now to ensure long-term stability?

You sent too many messages in a short period of time. Please try again later. by Usernomore

I feel not to post it, but it's equally unhealthy not to take a stand for those who're innocent. Stalking can be described as an immoral act, if for instance I don't know someone and still keep on pissing them off, but if I know someone closely I can of course send them a thousand messages or call them a million times, without any interference from a 3rd party or a phone company as it can be a discrete and delicate matter for me however the judgement comes across to be from others.
