What to do

• Surf: all year but better conditions on the rainy season from May to October, best spots: Sunzal, El Tunco, Misata.
• Volcano trekking: all year, in Volcanos Park every day at 11:00 a.m. groups depart from Cerro Verde to Santa Ana or Izalco Volcanoes (between 4 and 6 hours depending of the group pace), guided by Politur (Tourist Police), you can take one and the next day the other and can lodge on Cerro Verde or Santa Ana or return to San Salvador (less than 2 hour away).
• Baby turtles realeasing: between July and August sea turtles nest in El Salvador beaches, eggs are relocated in to safe complexes to ensure more births and when baby turtles reach an adecuate size they are released in September, there are many turtle santuarys where you can participate in the release of this baby turtles.
