I know where my towel is.

Philosophy
Even with these dark eyes, a gift of the dark night. I go to seek the shining light.

Running water never grows stale. So you just have to 'keep on flowing'.

Emptiness is the starting point. In order to taste my cup of water you must first empty your cup. My friend, drop all your preconceived and fixed ideas and be neutral. Do you know why this cup is useful? Because it is empty.

When one has reached maturity in the art, one will have a formless form. It is like ice dissolving in water. When one has no form, one can be all forms; when one has no style, he can fit in with any style.

Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

Don't get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

by Bruce Lee

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them - that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.

Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth.

I Live With:

I live on Cowley Road, East Oxford, OX4 1UQ. So said by Telegraph one of Britain's 20 coolest streets - "Town and gown blend in this rapidly improving part of Oxford, where students on bicycles pedal past wacky little cafés and hip ethnic restaurants. Boisterous and down-to-earth."

I share the house with three guys and one girl (two guys Aina and Johnny are CSers, who would be happy to hang out with you if they have time).

We have a sitting room with some couches, but they are all too small, but you can put futons (possibly for 3 from previous experience) on the floor to sleep on, so far nobody has complained about it so I assume it's reasonably humane. You could also sleep in my room (possibly for 2). I have an air bed, blankets, sleeping bag, sheets, pillow etc.

Please bring:

Be prepared I might ask you to scavenger hunt for a specific item from where you are coming.

I can offer my guests:

I leave the house latest 8.30am and normally will only be back in the evenings about 10.30ish during weekdays, 8ish on weekends, which will be the earliest I can meet you, either in town or our house. If you arrive early during the day, you can leave your bags with Ashmolean Museum before they close. I won't be able to show you around, but I can give you a map and suggestions on what's worth doing. If I happen to have time, I can show you around on weekends to some colleges with free entrance.

I can offer my hosts:

I can teach you mirror-writing with left-hand.

Public transport:

If you are coming to Oxford by bus, ask the driver if the bus will stop at "St.Clements", which is the closest stop to get off on a parallel street to Cowley Road. It will take about 10 minutes to walk to our house. If you get off from Gloucester Green (Bus terminal in Central Oxford), you can take 1,5,10,12 bus to Cowley Road, which will take you about 15 minutes. If you walk, it will take you about 30 minutes.

House Rules:
No smoking.

You need to bring your own food and consumables.
