north and south america, western europe, mediterannean, middle east. Drove throughout all of Turkey. Drove throughout all of Saudi Arabia. Drove from Muscat to Istanbul and back again 3 times, visiting everything! Haji twice. Umrah a half a dozen times. Never been west of kansas. Cowboyed in Oklahoma. WORST trip ever: Greyhound bus from San Antonio to Enid Oklahoma. Most lost trip ever: To Nuevo Loredo: total blank, don't remember anything. Cruised the Amazon Valley jungles and swamps, west of Manaus in 1957. hiked across the Kackar Mts. to Artvin in 1991-92-93. 3rd class train from Lourdes to Madrid in 1956, and by car to Toledo. Orient Express. Slowest trip ever: Istanbul to Konya by train, 1988. Most hateful trip: Air France with a layover at Charles DeGaulle. If I never go to Paris again, it will be too soon. Friendliest most interesting: Dhank, Dead Sea, Neversink, Tiwi, Strangest trip: a sesshin in Rochester and the only room I could get was in a gay bath house. Zen all day. Disco all night.

Appartient aux groupes suivants
Communications BW
i have hoped bw would have outdistanced the others by now. so far i've had only one bw guest since i joined bw, where i used to see 2 or 3 every week. overall i had hundreds before from hc and cs and before that before internet, i always had international guests from all kinds of networks i belonged to. i believe in the idea of hosting. it's a fundamental human instinct honored by aristotle as one of the major virtues, magnaminity, large heartedness. so, you've done your best, i am sure... maybe one more head can't hurt. i am a writer photographer experienced in pr and fundraising for ngos, maybe i can be of use
Volontaires Locaux
I asked to join this group before i asked to join any others. I have a good track record of helping people in need, and have been a "local volunteer" wherever I have lived since 1965. In Philadelphia in the 60s, I organized a communal food co-op, and housing co-op, and in the 70s and 80s worked with homeless and disabled and refugees, have certificates/training in crisis intervention counseling and trauma/abuse counselling. Am a member of the Trauma professional on-line association. and so on. Grew up in a house always full with guests all over the world, and have always lived that way since.
Cuisiniers
i do a lot of cooking and it is something i do well and i am proud of it
