Topics for the next BoD meeting

I wanted to start a new thread to outline some of the topics I'd like to see addressed during our next BoD meeting:

  • The BW wiki is getting close to being ready for a complete move of the "old" BV wiki. I'd like to see us drive this effort so it doesn't drag on for weeks or even months.
  • Related: how far are we to abandoning the rest of BV.org? The forum? Do we anounce a final date? What do we put on BV.org?
  • How will we address the new agreed to approach to communicating about BV? (We need to comb through our FAQ's, etc)
  • Open question: how can we be even more transparent? I know it might be a silly remark, but I truly believe we should ask ourselves this question constantly considering the obvious constant pressure from some of our members.
  • (related to the above) Who are the people in the forum moderation and security team anyway? Shouldn't we list this somewhat publicly somewhere?

Answering Thomas:

  • BW Wiki, ok to talk about it, personnaly I would be more comfortable if we could have some team commited to this task able to give time in the long run, to keep things consistent.
  • BV.org we need to keep the domain, but closing the BV FOrum and stating it is now inBW forum is not that difficult to do, it is something the BoD can decide
  • To comb the Faq, we need, IMHO, someone to rewrite them and to fix the technical obsolete mistakes, and aftre to make the translations. Personnaly I woudl try to involve Claudia in it, for consistency, but making a list of what needs to be changed is needed.
    In general we have a problem to manage obsolete things, may be we should have some dedicated area for people to report them when they are detected, BoD (or/and) coords to state about  and then assign action to someone.
  • More transparency, I don't see problem fornow, but keep vigilant. One thing for sure, a BoD report is needed soon just to show that there is no hidden activity
  • Forum Moderation people: I will prepare the list. Safety team, responsible is Stefan,we should ask him to update the list (or to create a private group "BW Safety Team" where safety team people can join and then we know who they are)
