Hi everyone,

maybe you noticed it already: The gallery got a major update today. While there's still room for improvements, it should be a lot better than the gallery of the last months (which was partly broken due to some code framework issues). You're welcome to come up with feedback or bug reports right here.

Otherwise just enjoy your new gallery. I hope it's easier to use.

cheers

Micha

Thanks Micha,

I havent uploaded any pictures yet, but when I press, MyPhotos/ Latest pictures, I get a page of error code.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/bwrox/www.bewelcome.org/build/gallery/templates/imagefixedcolumns.list.php on line 27

After I uploaded my first picture, the error disappears.

Michael

Wow, it finally works!
And I like Micha's travel pictures!

Before I start my inevitable feature wishlist: I think this gallery is totally fine, and perfectly suitable for this site. (I did not notice any bugs, but I'm sure you guys are watching..)

So, some features that could be added when there is too much time:
- ajax/javascript image browsing with a nice and subtle fading effect and #-based permalinks
- a tiled list of images in the sidebar, that automatically switches the page.

Micha, I m not sure if this is directly related to your gallery work, but it could be:

When you click on a profile picture you get to the gallery of the member. Instead you should get to a big (real size?) version of that very same picture with a link next to it to check other pictures in the gallery of this user. I find it very annoying not to be able to get the large picture because that s the most relevant to me in terms of profile pictures, as they are quite small.

Do you know what I mean? Any change to improve that part?

 Cheers!
