Hi to all:

First, thank you to all of the BW volunteers who are putting a lot into this new site!  :)

I really want to be more active on BW, in theory, but there are some roadblocks stopping me, so I thought I would write just the main one right here:

 - PHOTOS

I heard through the grapevine that BW will soon be integrated with Flickr.  That's cool.  But. in the meantime, the photos on profiles are super-annoying to access.

The current website layout/design does not really present photos in a clear way.  If I click on a profile photo, I can view a slightly larger (but still TINY) image of that photo.  If I try to click on a second photo, I'm brought back to the main profile (text) page.  This makes no sense to me.  Why can't there be an option to browse through all photos at once?

Imagery is my mother-tongue, and photos are a universal language that anyone can speak.  To me, they say much more than a lot of unclear words can ever say...

I guess you already noticed the "gallery" application.

But you are right, there is something important missing - a page with "photos by member". And a better linking of that with the profile page.

We are currently working on a new pages for profile, preferences etc (well, most of the changes are "under the hood", so the visible differences eventually won't be that big), so we can try to integrate your wish in the new version!

Any design ideas for the new pages?

And I agree with the idea of photos as a language bridge! Unfortunately we can't do the usual communication via images - or otherwise, we would need a painting tool integrated in the the forum - sounds like fun :)
