Javad

This is a really good post.  Thank you for taking the time to write it.

Iran has given the world so much over its history, It would be a very long post to list everything.  All the Pursains I know are great people, my first serious gilrfriend was half Pursian, her mother and one of my best friends is Pursain and I have met many more on my travels.  I would love to visit one day and experiance such an ancient land and culture.  Last year I was there, sort of, just a few miles above the ground.  By chance, I flew over my firends village on the edge of the caspain sea, on the way to Mumbai.  It would be great to land one day and meet many more peautiful people and add to the little Farsi I already have.

It is a shame that the formatting has been messed up by the forums.  Maybe you could put this on a wike page or try to fix the formatting.  I presume this was writen in Word or something and coppied into the post. (Can the developers see if they can fix these general forum formatting issues)

@Tim

I'm grateful for your notice. My purpose is to show something real and different existing unfairly propoganda. I hope one day you come to Iran and experince Iraninan hospitality. It would be a memorable journey and It's my pleasure to meet you here.

Unfortunately the text editor of forum is no good enough and I did my best to fit the pics and text but it's not satisfactory but If you wants to see the perfect contents, you can click on the link that I wrote at the beginning of post.

@Simbl

you're welcome :)

Javad

Its great to have passion and I love your posts.

There is a blog feature, which would be great to put out a positive view of Pursia.  Click on my account above and then click on Blogs, in the menu on the left.  You can then write as many blogs on many topics, which you can link to your blog posts, in forum posts and email responses.

Or also by adding it as content in the Iran group's wiki http://alpha.bewelcome.org/groups/441/wiki

You can create as many sub wiki pages as you want and link to them from the main one.  Like a mini website.  When the geo forums are upgraded to full groups, each sub area and city can focus on their rich local cultures, histories peoples and languages.

 Who is Christian (jsfan) to edit, delete and deface other peoples posts?!  This is becomming a bit of a worrying trend.

What is going on on bW?  Is Chris the new moral guardian, judge, jury and executioner of bW?!

I am not specifically arguing about the validity of the copyright issue in this case, more simply that Chris seems to be doing what he likes on bW, with unchecked admin rights to most systems.  If admins(community assistents) are able to run around in the system, acting arbitrarily, with no checks or accountability, appeals, notice, communication after the fact even, then it seems that bW is lacking a great deal of organisational structure, integrity, procedures and or internal regulation.  Any such deficencies needs to be addressed by bW quickly, as they are a danger to the stability of bW as a whole, from the inside out.

Thanks jsfan for doing the unfortunately necessary admin work on the forum.

This wikipedia article might explain it to you. The text is available under a Creative Commons License and could be copied from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_infringement.

@javadit: Unfortunately, verbatim copying is a copyright infringement. You can quote from a copyrighted text within very narrow limits if you make refernce to its source. Basically, you have to outweigh the information contained in the quotes with the information contained in your original work.

While copyright is enforced to various degrees in different countries, we have to make sure that BeWelcome (or really BeVolunteer) meets its duty of care in dealing with copyright infringements as everything else would open up the way for legal action against BeVolunteer.

For the record, I do not like the idea of copyright at all. It was introduced as a means of censorship and has (from my point of view) never protected intellectual property effectively. However, as long as the law as it is, we will have to abide by it.
