Hiking in the Pyrenees

Hi

The "Seek The Duck" event (http://duck.bewelcome.org) will take place in about one month.

If you're potentially interested by the Wednesday/Thursday/Friday (May the 9th, 10th and 11st) hike please let me know (or Hugo: http://www.bewelcome.org/members/Hugo) with a pm, and give me your standard email so that we wan discuss about the details and organise the transportation.

We will decide where to go depending on the snow conditions:

- One option is to go to the beautiful Encantats (or Ayguestortes): http://www.randozone.com/articles/encantats-parc-national-aiguestortes-maurici.php

- Another option is to go to Ariege near the refuge du Ruhle (http://www.photosariege.com/article-11499855.html)

- Or maybe somewhere near etang Peyregrand and etang redouneilles des vaches (also in Ariege): http://www.photosariege.com/album-310556.html

- Or somewhere like this...

We'll either sleep in a ungarded mountain hut or camp in the mountains (we can provide a few tents if needed).

Please make sure to be properly equiped (for example check this: http://www.gonewengland.org/hikegear.htm, and add a good sleeping bag and equipment for the bivouac, more details to follow through standard emails). Also make sure to bring the adequate food (enough but not too much, not too heavy food... more about this in the emails)

As for the difficulty of the hike, you can expect something like 1000m height difference, and 7 hours walks max each day. We will not take you to any technical place

We will share the fuel and toll costs to go there from Toulouse.

If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask

Hope to see you in the Pyrenees!

Nico
