Hi...
Not sure if this is the right forum (forgive me)
Can we use HTML in our profile anywhere? I can't seem to get the code to stick.

It seems to be possible but I am having the same problem, even in group posts. The link symbol is greyed out. Can someone please advise?

@william436: yes, i just added a link to my profile (A tag), which tags are you trying to use? i don't know if only certain tags are allowed, but i could dig in the code if you are having more trouble
@polyglot: mark some text first, and the link symbol will become available

On the profile and many other forms we filter stuff through:
But it's possible to adjust the filters...
So first question would be what tags you need and if it's safe to open them for all.

I just want a simple hyperlink like at the end of the interest section of my profile. None of the usual tags seem to work. So how do you do it?

Hi Polyglot,
for my profile it worked like this
< br > < a href="http://www.bewelcome.org/members/polyglot" >Polyglot< /a >
when you remove the blanks between the angle brackets.
Look at my profile.
Don't get mislead by the appearance after you clicked onto 'send' - the entry vanishes from the entry field but appears if you click onto 'Profile'

Thanks Doris. That is the standard hyperlink code which I tried on my profile and which didn't work. I just tried it again, and once more it was stripped when I submitted the form and it displays only the text without link.

Hola Uli,
it looks like it works in Secion Overview but not in Section Interests.
I put the same link into both sections, one works the other not.
No time to check out the other sections (too much work)

@mofin: what is the tabform bug? could you explain, or did you write about it elsewhere?

@planetcruiser: If you edit your profile the different sections are in a tabform where only the first tabpage accepts links. That is why I called it the tabform bug.
Sorry, I had a clown for breakfast and the Otis Redding Song came to my mind.
@polyglot: Somehow Otis Redding didn't know about tabform bugs and did some different lyrics ;-)

I hope someone is keeping tabs on this problem.
Doris, you are not supposed to eat your guests. How is he going to comment on his experience now? ;-)

Uli; you should consult the latest findings in scientific research:
I never hosted a clown, and there has never been reported an incidence of cannibalism in the mofin tribe.

Hi
I successfully inserted a link in my profile summary, but it didn't work in the accomodation restrictions.
are there different rules for different fields?
