Berlin meetings?

I am happy to see so many people in this group!

Are there BW meetings in Berlin? If so, where to find them? If not, why not? :-)

With weekly CS meetings in every district, we should at least have a monthly meeting, not?

Hey Manuel!

Unfortunately, this group doesn't seem to be too active (at the moment), but I'd be totally in for a meeting.

I've seen on your profile, that you're living close to Hermannplatz, so we're practically neighbours (I'm close to Rathaus Neukölln).

I dont know any nice bars yet, but there should be enough choice in Neukölln!

Oh yes, there is!!

Suggestions:

- Freies Neukölln

- Kuschlowsky (next to it)

- Silversurfer (next to it)

- Tristeza (around the corner)

- Tannenbaum (once again around the corner)

- Sux (a bit more towards South of Sonnenallee)

- Ä (Weserstraße)

i think it's a good idea to have a "small" bewelcome meeting on monday ;-)

maybe then in future we can organise a bigger bewelcome meeting, as there are 146 members in berlin and 17 in potsdam ;-)

And how about somewhere with WiFi so we can verify each other's ID at the meeting? I think peer-to-peer verification might be the killer app for BeWelcome, so it's probably important I get verified...

A kicker is nice, but verification would be great too. Anyone knows if one of the other bars mentioned got wifi?

Seems like Silver future (not surfer) has got Wifi and Freies Neukölln also.

Both of them are fine for me.

I just had two beers and I'm totally happy ;)

We had a great meetup, verified each others identity and had nice talks about the up- and downsides of BW, CS, etc. So nice to get to know more people from the local crowd.

yes, i enjoyed it too!

i hope we'll do it again as well. as far as i can see, there are 60 members in this group. i'm sure that many of them have the email-thing disabled. we could set up a date for the next meeting and then write a message to every member and to every berliner. what do you think about this? too much spam for people that obviously don't want to receive messages?

anyway, i have time and so i would be happy to help planning the meeting by writing all the personal messages (if there's no tool for that).

no, i'm totally in with that.....

if we have a next meeting fixed and a good invitation letter, i will personally send it to let's say half of berlin members.....

there are even more, maybe about 60 in the berlin group, but 60 more from berlin, who didn't join the group...

i think, if we do it one time, it's totally okay....

so we should invite people for the next meeting and kindly ask them, if they are interested to take part in future, to join the berlin group or to change the settings and enable emails.

Can we make the next meeting after October 10th? I am moving to Berlin around the 10th, and I won't miss my first BW meeting :-)

Yes, it was a really nice meeting, I'm totally in for a somewhat regular shedule!
A one-time mail to all Berlin members seems reasonable. It seems like there werent many meetings before, so yes, to give BW Berlin asome speedup.. :-)

"Freies Neukölln" was nice too, I would like it to be the place for next time too!

Oh, seems like I forgot to take one of those cards with the downloadlink..

I really enjoyed the meeting, some very interesting discussions/opinions about the present & future of Bewelcome. It was great to meet you all & hope to do so again if I return to Berlin.

He decided that he didn't want to join anything that required him to give out his address. Me meeting him again was a complete coincidence, but since the place I was at was called "The Co-op" maybe it wasn't that unlikely.
