Let's create a new group for all current or former AFSers.

I'm still waiting for administrator confirmation on HC to join the AFS group there (since +/- 2 years)...

The BW group will be open to join for everybody who wants without  any confirmation needed. With this group it might be possible to refind your AFS-friends and stay in contact with them. 

I was an AFS xchange student in BRASIL 98/99. BEST TIME OF MY LIFE!!

 Maybe the group needs a special feature with an input field for the year, the country and host/guest/volunteer information etc.?

 who wants to help creating the AFS group?

Good idea! The group function is still being worked on but that should not stop us to brainstorm about possible groups.

The current rule is that you need 10 BW members to support your idea (in this case 10 former or actual afs students) in order to create the group.

You could speed this up a bit with promoting BeWelcome to your AFS friends :-) If they join BeWelcome sure they will be with you on that.
