I didnt had to update my address as there was nothing wrong with it, I was able finally to upload my pic and this time it didnt said that my address was wrong but it did its work and got my pic on  without saying again that my address was wrong.

I just fixed the problem  in the database (for you and also for 167 other members)..

You should be able to update your profile now

I seem to be having the same problem as the previous posts.

So it seems like though you can fix the problem for x number of users in the database that the route cause of the problem is still present in the sites code.

Could someone have a look into giving my profile a temporary fix and then have a look at the code and see if the actual problem can be figured out and fixed?

Really this bug is a pain, I think I could fix it, but it I have no time for now

If I can repair the data problem, unfortunately I havent yet found the how to reproduce the initial problem which is something with the update of the Zip

May be the origin of this problem has something to do with this ticket 1419

Edit:BeWelcome IS poor and unprofessional but And if malfunctions like this aren't fixed within a few days one should be worried, if BeWelcome really is a secure website and is able to reliably manage members data.

We better would stop to require sensitive private data for the sign up.

Why not make the address field optional. That would fix this problem easily.

I tried to reproduce that error and got the following:

Zip field has any value (number or text) --> no error, everything gets updated correctly and there is a message "Your profile was successfuly updated".

However, when the Zip field is left empty --> only then i got an error and edits aren't possible. The message I got is "Ooops, an error occured!
There seems to be a problem with the address you put. Please check again!"

And there is a second error message, in "contact information" at the wrong position (at field 'Street / House Number' instead of  field 'Zip'): "There seems to be a problem with the address you put. Please check again!"

I wonder if the recently reported issues got the same error message?

Or did you get the "Call stack" with "Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$Name in /home/bwrox/www.bewelcome.org/build/members/templates/editprofile_form.php on line 77" .  That seems to be a different bug.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.  We do not use ZIP codes in Ireland, so never put one in.

EDIT:  Every time I update my information I need to re-enter the ZIP code as it does not seem to store it.

Hey everybody!

I cannot update the Profile Summary field on my profile!

I try changing the text, saving, it says that profile was succesfully updated but the Profile Summary text reverses back to normal.

Any ideas?

Maybe it could be because you have your profile in english and french? Have you tried to switch between the languages? (upper right corner in your profile)

Help !

I'm new on BW. I have a similar problem. Except that I don't get error message.

I wrote quickly my profil when I suscribed. Then I updated it day by day,  and yesterday I realized that when I'm on my own profile page without to be connected on BW, I have the first version of my profile, not updated at all.

But when I was connected I had the updated version. So I looked in "my preferences" found nothing, but I choose to have "french" as "default language". Then I  lost, everything, even when I was connected I had only the first version of my profil.

Then I asked God to be nice with me, I changed again my setting to english as default language. It worked ! But without to be connected I still have the first version.

But I'm sure that my picture can be updated.

Just to be sure that every BWers can read only the old version, could someone please tell me if it's possible to read these sentences (with available links) at the bigining of my summary ?

I copy/pasted all my informations, erase my profile in french and in english, delete the both, and paste in a new one all my informations. It seems working. Ihave the same informations when I'm connected or disconnected on BW.
