How do I find accommodation?

To find accommodation, you have a few options.


(a) You can narrow down the location you want to travel by browsing the countries list and selecting the country, the region and finally the city/town you would like to travel to. Next to each city or town, there is a number in brackets that tells you how many members there are registered in that place. Click on the number and you will get a list of the members which shows their profile summaries as well as their profile picture.

(b) You can also use the Map to find members living in the area you want to travel to. The advantage of this feature is that there you can also find members who live close to a city or town without having to know the names of nearby towns.


(c) You can also post your travel details in the Forum by selecting the continent, country, region and city. Within your post, you are always welcome to ask for accommodation. However, we do recommend that you to combine this method with features (a) and (b) described above.

(d) The final feature (still awaiting improvement) is the Search tool with which you will be able to search for hosts according to certain criteria or requirements.

Once you have found a potential host using one of the above features, you should then contact this member to find out if they are able/willing to host you. Keep in mind that members are more likely to offer accommodation if you contact them in advance.
