Donation goal reached

written by sitarane - 2012/07/03 12:21

"The donation goal of 1,000 € for this year's operation of BeWelcome has just been reached" says the treasurer of BeVolunteer (the non-profit that deals with everything financial and legal for BeWelcome).

So it is with financial serenity that we can remove the appeal for donation that sits on the frontpage since May. And with the added peace of mind for the future, that we can raise the operating costs in a donation campaign of just 2 month.

I hope you found it less obnoxious than the Wikipedia ones :)

BeWelcome has a new server

written by jsfan - 2012/06/25 12:54

After a number of days of hard work, it is finally done. BeWelcome now comes to you from a new, more powerful server.

While we have made an effort to thorougly test everything before we switch to the new server, it is well possible that you'll come across some quirks. Please don't hesitate to contact us and let us know if you find something to not be working properly.

Undeniable!

written by BeJoyful - 2012/06/23 23:54

It is a powerful thing to have enough confidence in yourself to choose a different path that you know will still lead you to your destiny. Regardless of what others think about your decision, you are able to move forward with indispensable knowledge that others may not be aware of - Sometimes you have to start over, to win.
Your voice sounds like your voice, and when others hear it, it doesn't have to be beautiful - but it should be strong. Your speech doesn't have to be grammatically correct with an eloquent flow, but when you speak - your words should be meaningful and strong. The statements that are made through our works, our style, our lives may not neatly fit into the molds of ways others have done it before, but should be unique in as many ways possible to differentiate between what it was in the past and what it is now; what it is when others do it and what it is when you do what you do.

BeWelcome is moving

written by jsfan - 2012/06/21 05:55

As BeWelcome is moving to a new server, the site will probably be down for some time
on Friday, 22 June and/or Saturday, 23 June 2012 (also depending on your time zone).

You will see a placeholder page while the move is in progress.
