Enhancing stakeholder engagement through web 2.0

A very interesting article I came across very recently about how to enhance stakeholder engagement through web 2.0. It's getting more and more difficult not to get distracted by all the social media tools out there. Even BeWelcome suffers from the range of networks and communities, I fear. There just isn't enough attention available out there to feed them all ...

The last days have been realy stressfull because we did have to plan our trip realy well and get all that stuff we need to ride the horses. We have been at black market again what is realy a unbelievable experience. You can buy everything there. For me it was very interesting how cheap clothes are. For example you can get a brand named pullover in top quality for 2 Euro. So I can imagen under what bad conditions people or children are doing the clothes. We made it also to book our bus tickets to murun where we plan to start our trip to the hovsgal lake. We planed to be on the horse for around 2 and half weeks. By the way we did also bought fly tickets back to germany on the 20th of September. Ana starts to study and I am gonna go for a around a month for climbing in spain. So a lot of informations and changes. We are now realy looking forward to get out in the nature free from smog, cars, people, traffic.

Kisses at all friends outside.

And it's happening: this year's GA is now underway. We've had a days worth of discussing the points prepared (you can find the list of points + the minutes so far, here: http://www.bevolunteer.org/wiki/Minutes_of_the_General_Assembly_2009#How_to_get_BW_energized). The mood is good, we're getting important stuff discussed, and there's a lot of participation: 10 people present, four people present in Berlin joining the meeting via IM, and one Philipp in Canada, also joining by IM.

Currently, we've stopped for the day, in order to head into the city and do some flashmob stuff ... which still eludes me a bit. I'll most likely find out when done what it was all about. And be so much the wiser ... Look for images in the gallery, hopefully tomorrow :)

Wild pig in Dragonia

Okay it was just realy beautiful and we did walk trough the landscape and did find a nice place to stay there. The only problem was the mosquitos on the beginning which where realy stressfull. The second problem did came in the night. A animal runs trough our place we did sleep. We did get realy alarmed and waked up. Than it started to shout like a dog who has a bad stomage and is getting out everything from him. It was unbelievable loud and sound realy dangerous. It was coming closer and closer. Then we did hear some other sounds near our place we did sleep and we did realize that we should leave the place as fast as possible. So I think it was a wild pig and at our place there have been the babys. As everybody knows do not try to get in contact with the wild pig with child they can get unbelievable angry. So on the end we did find a place closer to the village and did sleep somehow with a lot of mosquitos. After that we did pass the border to croatia on the next day. The police did us pick out and yes they did check for drugs and wanted to know a lot of things. It was not a deep looking for drugs but it was a little bit stressfull because the man did not stop to ask for drugs. Than we did meet Dragan.
