Murun / Moeroen

The last days have been realy stressfull because we did have to plan our trip realy well and get all that stuff we need to ride the horses. We have been at black market again what is realy a unbelievable experience. You can buy everything there. For me it was very interesting how cheap clothes are. For example you can get a brand named pullover in top quality for 2 Euro. So I can imagen under what bad conditions people or children are doing the clothes. We made it also to book our bus tickets to murun where we plan to start our trip to the hovsgal lake. We planed to be on the horse for around 2 and half weeks. By the way we did also bought fly tickets back to germany on the 20th of September. Ana starts to study and I am gonna go for a around a month for climbing in spain. So a lot of informations and changes. We are now realy looking forward to get out in the nature free from smog, cars, people, traffic.

Kisses at all friends outside.

Transib

written by mabe - 2009/08/20 04:41

We just went from kiev to moscow and it was realy fun to buy the ticket for the transib. Nobody did speak englisch. on the airport terminal we did found somebody who could write down our request in russian on our diary. On end we did get a ticket for this day. no visiting of moscow. we did enter the transib at 2 o clock and entered a crazy trip. We where on the road for 4 days. all the time in the train. Only on big cities the train did stop so we could buy the new know foud. chinese instant soups. All people are used to eat from them. We did have a sleeping place in a whole waggon. so there was a lot of talking with other train drivers. This was the cheapest seat you could get which was around 100 Euro. We where lucky that we did meet Kesch who could speak a little englisch. He did tell us that Ulan Ude is the capital of buryat republik where the religion of the most people is buddhism. At all we did learn a lot about russian culture and religions. Its realy a crazy land when you look deeper. Many religions (islam, orthodox, christian, buddhism...) and so unbelievable big. The people are realy direct and not willing to help. not all of course. At somehow you get used to it. and when you want something you get also hard with no smiling on your face. it works. When we did leave the train we did get a realy train leg! unbelievable. I think it is even harder than jet leg because you are traveling to slow to make the time periode knowing fast. we did realy feel like astronauts because we thought we are still in the train. everything was like an erthquake. Tomorrow we will go to mongolian embassy to hopefully get a visa. A visa is around 70 dollar here and you need an address. But it seams that a hotel is enough. We are looking forward going to mongolia. Maybe we have some time to visit countryside around ulan ude.

we are closer to our dream riding horses in mongolia.

regards and kisses to our families and closed friends mabana
