Imagine that instead of going to eat at the place recommended by the guidebook, someone shows you their favourite restaurant. Imagine the experience staying as a personal guest of your new friend rather than sleeping in an impersonal hotel room. BeWelcome makes it possible.

Fixes and improvements released

Fellow travellers and hosts,

the summer is about to start and the big BeWelcome event in Toulouse is about to happen this weekend, so our motivation is high to improve this site. Here is what we've done:

  • Made profile updates more intuitive by adding "Edit" links when viewing own profile
  • Improved map search to return more relevant results
  • Fixed a couple of errors when editing profile data
  • Showed the "Family and close friends...

Post-Easter fixes released

Dear members,

We kept pushing more and more things into this release, changed the date a few times, but finally it is here! The most important changes:

  • Fixed reporting of profile comments, note the new flag button on comment pages
  • Added group name and link to recent forum posts list on personal start page
  • Changed (increased) message sending limits for new users and always allow replies to messages
